WHY JOIN PTA?
Sometimes people wonder why we encourage them to recruit spouses, children, extended family members and friends to join our PTA, when they will never attend a meeting or volunteer at the school. Of course, we love our volunteers, and we appreciate those who attend meetings to learn and contribute to our local happenings!However, when someone joins the FME PTA, they also become part of TEXAS PTA and NATIONAL PTA, with millions of others who want the best for our children. PTA tracks local, state and national policies and advocates for what’s best for our students, families and schools.
Increasing our membership increases PTA's ability to influence those policies. So even though your mother-in-law in Ohio will never attend a PTA meeting, her membership shows that there's one more person out there who wants what's best for our children.
